Larval Stage: Beetle larvae can eat through wood for up to 4 years before pupating for about 8 weeks.
Adult Beetles: After emerging, they mate, lay eggs, and die. Eggs can hatch within 3 weeks.
Dormancy: Beetles can remain dormant at any stage until conditions become favourable, so prompt action is crucial to prevent further damage.
